This all research done by M/S Somax Pharmaceuticals Private Limited under
the guidance of Shri. Ved Kumar Kaushik Vedacharya Chairman and Managing Director
of the company and Chairman of Wishv Shila Charitable Trust
Regd. and Shiv Sai
Nirmalaya Charitable Trust Regd. promoting the educational institutions of modern
science and technology and study of ancient philosophy scriptures and
sharing this great knowledge with others of the medicinal plants, herbs,
shrubs, and creepers and making others capable of identifying these in WISHV
SHILA VEDIC RESEARCH SANSTHAN in Kharar established in 1878 by his
great grand father PT. BALMUKAND KAUSHIK VEDOPADHAYA.
The
Atharvveda treatment is based on psycho religious, scientific, biological,
psychosomatic therapy. It is so true today as it was ten thousand years ago.
The Atharvvedic families who read four Vedas are deeply concerned with the
scientific research presently according to the tradition of their forefathers. Having remembered and researched the other three Vedas along with
vedangas are as under :-
1)
Rigveda – Academic post graduation with
Rigveda and
Vastu Kala from
Punjab University Chandigarh and Guru Parampara from Sthanudutt Shastri
greatest scholar of Vedas from Kurukshetra. (The president award winner) and
Ram Chandra Shastri his first Upnayan Sanskar Guru.
2) Shuklayajurveda – Sthanudutt Shastri great Vedic scholar of India and
Amritswami of Kashi ji ( Banaras ).
3)
Samveda – All the mantras are borrowed from Rigveda with the
acceptation of 75 original mantras. They were also studied Samveda concerned
only with recitation.
4) Atharvveda – Paiplaad School its Kaushik Grihsutra, Kaushik paddhati,
in medicine. The Bhaishajyani and other gannas in Pitta Putra paddhati
tradition from Sh. Vishveshwarnath (Basheshar Nath) Kaushik a great scholar
of Vedic and local Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic and English who’s educational
institution was in Kharar in fort quilla of Maharaja S. Harcharan Singh
now our school Maxim Merry in the tilled land belonging to the fort and
purchased by us from one of the sons of Maharaja S. Harcharan Singh that is
Haribachan Singh at very-very high rates only to fulfill our desire and
ambition of opening a competitive and supreme educational institute for
the pupils of this great town to give them the modern higher education in
the world of English language to compete this world in every sphere of life.
Atharvveda in the family tradition from his father late Sh. Basheshar Nath Kaushik S/o late Sh. Jagan Nath Kaushik.
The chronology starts from lunar dynasty. The first Vedic reference goes to
Pururava and Urvashi then maha rishi Kush gave birth to Kaushik, Kaushik
gave birth to Gadhi Kaushik. Gadhi Kaushik gave birth to
Vishwamitra.(Vishwarath) Vishwamitra gave birth to highly qualified
sons Kati, Hiranyaksh, Devshrava from mother Shalawati & Sankriti, Galab,
Mudgal, Madhu Chanda from mother Renu and Ashtak from mother Drishtwati,
Madhvi. Kashchap and Harit were also the sons of Vishwamitra.
In
the clan of Kaushikas the following great rishis who were all gotra
parivartakas (giver of gotras / surnames). Kaushik Panin, Babhru, Dhyanjapya,
Parthiv, Devrat, Shankayan, Vashkal, Lohit, Yaamdoot, Karish, Saushrit,
Shaidhwayan, Deval, Renu, Yagyavalk, Aghmarshan, Audamber, Abhisnaat,
Tarkayan, Chunchul, Shalvatya, Hiranyaksh , Sankritya, Galab and Vadrayani.
All the scriptures, Vedic, vedantic and poranik and samrities belong to
above said rishis : Harivanshparv chapter 27.
We
belong to the above said first name Kaushik rishi called as Nayakyan having
our origin to Vishvamitra’s place (Tila) near Brahmayoni in Kurukishetra.
The Kaushiks of this branch had their marital relations with Kshatriyas as in
the case of Shakuntala and king Dushyant who gave birth to Bharata on
who’s name the name of India is the
Bharatvarsha and up to Pandavas and their progeny all the kings were called
Bharata. and from their our forefather
Nayakyan Kaushiks were the kulpati of Kurukshetra up to king
Harsharvardhan 7th
century AD King Harsharvardhan sent the kulpati Kaushik to establish a new
university combined for Buddhist and Hindu mythology as king Harsharvardhan
was inclined towards Buddhism and north was threaten by Hoons who were
Buddhist after this Sangrahalaya kula ( ucha pind Sanghol, near Ludhiana)
became the centre of knowledge for the Buddhist instead of Kurukshetra and
many villages were given to our forefathers who provide food and shelter to
ten thousand students. This centre was plundered and destroyed, burnt
by the invaders from the north (Mahmood Gaznavi) in the 10th century. After that
we shifted to Bhateri (Morinda) the main village and remained there up to 16th
century as our SATI is there. Where there is a SATI that village is
considered the basic place of the next generations of a family. There we
remained up to 16th century. The period of Satipratha was mostly
prevalent from 10th century to 19th century when it
was abolished by the British by laws. It indicates that we remain in their
places and continued our mission of Vedic and allied studies there up to the
eve of the day when the sons of our great Guru Gobind Singh brought to
Morinda for night stay then rose animity with the then controller as we
opposed this act of arresting the little children under the ultimatum by
that collector we have to leave that place and we returned to Kurukshetra
again through the way of jungle along with our families, cows and our
religious and Vedic literature from the seventh century up to now we have
kept our links alive with our Kin and Kith people residing in Kurukshetra
we remained there up to Singh Raj. After 1774 a clan of Khatri sardar
Marwahas concord Kharar and made our forefathers there Raj Gurus and we
shifted to Kharar and continued our educational activities in Quilla (the
fort) Kharar. Our forefathers were made Raj Gurus by other states also as
our great grandfather late Sh. Balmukund Kaushik VEDOPADHAYA who gave the prevalent
double accent (Kurukshetra) reciting of Shukalyajurveda. His cousin
Vanshidhar Kaushik whose commentary on Shri Madbhagwat (vanshidhari tika)
The Fifth Veda of the Hindus is world famous and he was made the Raj
Guru by
his Highness the Mlanvendra king of Nabha as mentioned in the commentary
published from Bombay by Venkateshwara press in 1875 in the introduction
of the commentary. Who laid down the laws and rituals for the recitation and
hearing of Shri Madbhagwad. That is 21 days for uttam Bhagwad Path (special and best
path) 15 days for Madham Path (medium path) seven days for Sadharan
path (simple path). The rules are very strict for the Maha Bhagwat Path
Pandit and Yajmana (the house holder) for whom the Maha Bhagwat Path is
done. It is given in the Kaushik Samhita after the preface of the commentary
all the Maha Bhagwat Katha laws of rituals prevalent are laid down by him.
Treading on the same path of
ancestral we have advanced the Wishv Shila Vedic Research SANSTHAN Kharar
(Punjab) India established in 1878 and vedic studies of Rigveda,
Yajurveda, Samveda, Atharvveda, Itihaas, Puranas, Pitriyam, Science of stars
, Nakshatra kalp, Vedic Economy, Science of ethics , Science of Gods,
Etymology, Ancillary, Knowledge of Vedas, Physical Science of the Elements
of sprit. The science of self protection, The science of animals,
birds, mammals and reptiles, celestials. This tradition of Paippalad
school of Atharvveda has been lost in north India, only
one family of above mentioned NAYAKYAN KAUSHIKS have kept it in
the original form in North India. I Ved Kumar Kaushik Nayakyan of the
above tradition present and all these above mentioned traditional knowledge
is being given by me to my two sons Himender Kaushik Nayakyan and Sanjay
Kaushik Nayakyan having good Sanskrit education capable of taking
it forward through the new technology of Computer Science, through world
wide website (WWW) and print media for the future generations of this vedic
family and whole world interested in it.
